Beyond scripts, storyboards, interviews and directing - I’m a student of film. I geek out about structure and storytelling, whether it’s documentary-style brand videos or in-depth product walkthroughs.

Nike ACG: Stay Out! - This campaign was already underway when I started at Nike and this script was about half-written. I was brought in to punch up some of the sections and tighten up the rest. Nike isn’t often known for being a “funny” brand so this was an especially fun project to tackle!

We sat down with Chef Chris Cosentino at his SF restaurant, Cockscomb, (conveniently located two doors down from our Soma Hub) and talked about how the creative process is a lot like skateboarding, what cycling means to chefs and why there's a vintage bike helmet hanging in his restaurant.

Chris Cosentino - The Chef & the Cyclist - I concepted out this video then traveled to San Francisco to interview Chris Cosentino about the knife roll he designed with Chrome. I then worked with our in-house shooter/editor to bring the narrative out of the hours of interview footage we had shot. Additionally I wrote all the music for this video.

Drawing from the elegant efficiency of origami and the unstoppable energy of the urban landscape - we designed the five unique silhouettes of the Modal Collection to transform to meet the needs of a full day out in the city. Chrome Industries - Modal Collection - For this video we wanted to work with an outside shooter/editor (the always excellent https://www.personpeople.com/) I worked closely with Dorian from PersonPeople to provide him with insight into the new collection, sit in on interviews and provide feedback during rounds of notes and edits.

When you gotta get away from the hustle and bustle of city living it's good to get a little help from your woodland homies. Lead Actor: John Cardiel Animations: Hombre McSteez Filmed / Edited: Matt Reyes https://www.chromeindustries.com/collections/john-cardiel-collection

John Cardiel - Escape from Babylon - I’ve worked with Cards for years, for the release of his Camo collection, we wanted to do something that showed off his quirky sense of humor (and his new mountain bike) while also showcasing the collection. I wrote the script for this shoot, drove the van during the shoot itself, did the music supervision and provided storyboards and feedback to the animator (the inimitable Hombre McSteez)!

When Tatyana Perreault, aka @Tat_Ventures moved to Chicago from the East Coast, taking photos of her new city was a way to show the Windy City to her friends and family back in Massachusetts. As time progressed, however, her unique viewpoints on Chicago, along with her willingness to explore the city from every angle, started to resonate with a broader audience.

Streets of Chrome - TatVentures - Streets of Chrome was a social initiative that I brought back from the dead. Originally a hashtag for a giveaway, #StreetsofChrome took on a life of its own as an urban photography hashtag. I developed a year-long plan to re-introduce Chrome to the Streets of Chrome hashtag. With this video I found a shooter/editor (Jason Shields/Infiltrait) in Chicago with whom I worked closely to realize my vision for this piece from afar.

Summer's here, time to get out there and get rad. We linked up with a few homies here in Portland and ripped up some city streets (& at least one back yard) in our shorts. It's too hot for this, do yourself a favor and free your legs from pant jail.

Chrome Industries - Free Your Knees - In addition to concepting this campaign, we also shot this in my backyard and I cooked the burgers (that’s me in the sunglasses, too!)
