Portrait of the Artist in a Restaurant Bathroom

Around the same time that the Pogues played their first show in 1984, I was born about a hundred yards from the Red River in Fargo, North Dakota. I’ve had a drink named after me in Mexico, traveled as an interpreter for a French art metal band on their first US tour, played mandolin in an old time string band, visited almost every state in the Lower 48 and, oh yeah, worked as a writer/creative director for brands like Nike, Chrome Industries, Hammerling Wines and Microsoft over the last decade plus.
